Breastfeeding Education

You’re preparing for your birth – have you prepared for what comes afterward? Spend some time learning about life with your baby.

Breastfeeding is natural, and it is a learned skill. Mother and child do a lot of learning in the early weeks, and support is essential. In a breastfeeding class, partners will learn the best ways to support the breastfeeding mother and child.

What could be more convenient than continuing your birth education with the couples you've already met during your HypnoBirthing class? You can! Breastfeeding is offered as an optional 6th and 7th class, on the same night of the week and in the same location, taught by our very own Liz Vazquez.

Some of what you will learn:

  • to prepare for success, and to get the support that makes success possible
  • to translate baby’s signals – the best way to know how baby is doing
  • the truth about sleep – both you and baby can get the rest you need
  • about gadgets – which to keep, and which to throw away

The classes are designed so that you may simply add 2 classes to your HypnoBirthing class schedule. However, you do not have to take HypnoBirthing to take this breastfeeding course. In addition, you may take the breastfeeding class at any time, regardless of when you take your HypnoBirthing class.

Dates:

HBCTX is currently taking a hiatus from teaching breastfeeding classes. Please contact us to inquire about community breastfeeding resources or to be update when we resume classes.

Classes begin at 7pm unless otherwise specified.

Contact Liz by email or at 636-0659 to arrange registration for this exciting class. The fee for this session is $50 per couple, due at class.
